Catherine Issert
-
After working for Jean Fournier and at the Maeght Gallery in the early 1970s, Catherine Issert opened her gallery in Saint-Paul-de-Vence in 1975. In it, she defends an aesthetic audacity that gives her a role as a pioneer and witness to the upheavals of art history in the 20th century. Far from locking herself into a specialty or giving in to trends, she has maintained a coherent and diverse line, supporting artists from Fluxus, Supports/Surfaces, conceptual art, or even Land art, Free Figuration and Arte Povera.
