New National Museum of Monaco
-
Housed in two superb villas, Paloma, built in the 20th century, and Sauber, one of the last Belle Époque-style villas on the Rock, the New National Museum of Monaco offers four annual exhibitions. In these two settings, each visit is a living dialogue, between princely heritage and today's creation.
Good to know
- The French-style garden of Villa Paloma, designed by Octave Godard, offers a panoramic view and a verdant setting for the works.
- At Villa Sauber, the museum houses one of the most beautiful collections of automatons and shadow theater of the 19th century.
- In the early 1900s, Villa Sauber belonged to the Blanc family, which played a fundamental role in the development of the Société des Bains de Mer and the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
